While Oliver studied at the University of Hamburg, he started working as a self-employed journalist as well. Writing for a city magazine and doing research for SAT.1, Germany's #2 private television channel, were his first jobs. He switched to journalism completely in 2000, working fully employed as an editor for deltatre (a global leader for the sports business).
Being a passionate traveller, Oliver visited numerous countries to report about football culture. He attended games all across Europe, India, Singapore, Japan, Mexico, Jamaica and Australia. He published his work in the magazine "11 Freunde" (meaning 11 friends).
Press-Officer / Media Manager (2017 - today)
After working with the media departments of top clubs and federations for two decades, Oliver has gained deep insight in marketing and PR. Furthermore, he has an excellent understanding of the football business based on profound behind-the-scenes conversations with managers, owners, sponsors and player's agents.
Oliver benefited strongly from his experience when he undertook all presswork for "Kicken mit Herz" ("Kick it with all your heart"), a charity event for children suffering heart diseases. Organizing and implementing the most successful press conference in the event's history resulted in huge media coverage and a record audience of 3,200. Finally raising 92,400€ for the children's cardiology.
Event Presenter (2005 - today)
Over the past years Oliver has worked for big companies including Samsung, Fujitsu, Audi, Volkswagen and Siemens using his public speaking and presentation skills. He presented products and services for various target groups, from small workshops to trade fairs and huge open air events with up to 15,000 spectators.
Additionally, Oliver presented Audi iTV, a live in-house television training programme by Germany's luxury car manufacturer.
